Hi, I’m Anita — the illustrator and daydreamer behind Brown Bunny Design, a little creative studio based in North London.

I don’t only draw bunnies! I’m a curious traveller and nature lover with a sketchbook full of dreams. I take my inspiration from my holidays, vintage story books, nature, the ocean, creatures and bugs and the little surprises in the details that surround us — the kind that bring out your inner child and spark a little joyful nostalgia. My work is all about capturing that feeling through playful, uplifting illustrations and beautifully made products that make people smile.

I work digitally and with pencils, watercolours and pens, to keep my designs textural, full of sentiment and with a hand-drawn feel.

I have a love of cute and cosy, story-filled design with a focus on emotional connection. I enjoy bringing a story to life with imaginative and thoughtful characters especially if there’s an unusual and interesting point of view or focus on a message or meaning. I’d really love to illustrate a children’s picture book, and I have some examples of my own personal picture book and graphic novel projects on here…

Aside from this I run my own creative business selling art and playful, illustrated products that appeal to fellow wanderlusters who value handmade, meaningful design.
